Having a backup plan in life

Updated: Apr 19, 2020

Life is not always smooth-sailing. Look at what happen back in 2002 - 2003 (SARS outbreak), 2009 - 2010 (H1N1) and now 2019 - XX (Covid-19).

How many people are/were affected and how are/were they impacted?

- pay cut or worse got laid off their jobs

This can happen to anyone at any point of time. You can never predict what will happen tomorrow. So...

“Do you have a Plan B? If not it's time to start one.”

What does having Plan B means?

Having a plan B can refer to starting a new business which I can currently do with my plan A (current job) OR which could eventually become my plan A.

Will plan B be backfire? Does having more than just plan A means I have to divert some of my time towards other plan and not able to perform?

It depends. What is important is you need to know what you want to achieve in life and how much time and effort you are willing to put into executing your plan B.

Maybe 5 - 10 years down the road when your priority changes, plan B might be better for you.

If you do not have a plan B, it's never too late to start thinking.
